Bozeman Road Distribution Project

In support of future energy demand near Madison and Hinds counties, Entergy Mississippi (450,000+ customers in 45 counties) contracted Irby in May of 2017 to deliver 3 additional circuit routes to the Bozeman Road 230kV radial substation. To avoid outages, the work was performed while energized, with circuit routes totaling 6.6 miles of 13.8kV distribution line.
The work was completed to schedule and with zero lost time incidents using Irby’s conduit, HDPE, and pad-mounted underground equipment. Irby’s directional boring solution was ideally situated for the Entergy scope allowing for minimal excavation and minimal impact to the surrounding site.
