Basin Electric Power Cooperative (“BEPC”) is a consumer-owned wholesale electric generation and transmission cooperative based in North Dakota which serves approximately 2.9 million customers across nine U.S. states.
BEPC contracted Irby in August 2015 to construct its 345/115kV Patent Gate substation near Arnegard, North Dakota as part of its Antelope Valley Station to Neset Transmission Project. Supported by BEPC engineering, Irby self-performed all foundation, structural steel, and electrical bus work; and energized the new 345 kV switchyard in November 2016.
